Support Our Students Fund

      Applications coming soon!

The DSA SOS (Support Our Students) Fund was established in the fall of 2014 to ensure that all DSA students experience success and are not limited by financial resources. This fund provides assistance with DSA-related expenses such as lessons, art supplies, performance attire, tutoring, and more.
The long-term goal of this fund is to increase the diverse population of Denver School of the Arts and ensure that all students have the financial resources to be successful. We will be able to measure the success of our fund by the ability to maintain a diverse student population at DSA with the help of support offered through this fund.
A DSA education requires significant out-of-pocket expenses, which many families struggle to pay. The SOS Fund is being established to provide grants to ensure that every student at DSA, regardless of income, can succeed.
      Examples of typical expenses include:

      $25: basic charcoal pencil set

      $55: required theatre make-up

      $70: DSA Senior’s graduation fee

      $85: Vocal Music performance attire

$100: a pair of pointe shoes

$200: one AP class and textbook

$750: travel & registration fees for the

      National Thespian Conference

Over $1,000: Spring capstone trip to NYC

      Outreach Program

The primary focus of DSA Friends Foundation outreach programming is the DSA-Ashley Partnership, which was developed in the fall of 2014. Ashley Elementary is a Denver Public School located 3 blocks from DSA with 91% students of color and 95% qualifying for Free and Reduced Lunch. DSA has been affiliated with Ashley in recent years, but the DSA-Ashley Partnership now provides a structured, ongoing relationship that is beneficial to both schools. Learn more!
